When I saw the new Wild Africa range, I knew I wanted to do a project focussing on a travel theme. What better way of using the fabulous African theme could there be?
The colours which fall in my design “comfort space” mainly include cool colours; different hues of pinks, purples, blues, green and silver. I loved the challenge of designing a project in colours which fall outside of my usual spectrum.
I am hooked on 3D papercraft projects and thus decided to not only make a mini album, but to make a little travel suitcase to hold the album.
The suitcase is basically the size of an A5 and the album is 145mm x 85mm, which makes it ideal for snapshot type holiday photos. Adding a white border to you photos would make them pop off the pages. The size of the album and the small pieces of paper used for matting allowed me to add a lot of pages. I decided to leave the album pages fairly plain, since the suitcase box and album cover are fairly elaborate.
