The African Drum Beats In My Heart

I adore this beautiful collection with its true South African feel. The moment I opened the package I knew that I have had photos that were taken in December 2017 that was just waiting for the right papers.

The photos tell a story and therefore I elected to do a double page spread that will allow for a large 8-inch x 10-inch photo.

The Drum Of Africa - Flower Cluster

First I fussy cut the Aloe from “The Gift” paper. I then cut strips of various widths from The Gift, Mamma Africa, Wild Thing, Evita and Magic. I then adhered the strips to card stock backgrounds. When everything was in place I applied some stencil glue through a stencil because I wanted to foil my background. When the glue was tacky I rubbed rose gold foil onto my background.

After I stuck my photos down and added the fussy cut aloe and my large title. The final step was to embellish three areas with flowers, chipboard leaves, sisal and feathers.
