Adding texture and patterns to the Lady Pattern Paper papers is a fun way to create interest. There are different ways like embossing folders, punches, die-cuts, stamps and stencils. Today I am using a stencil and modelling paste to add both a texture and a pattern on to my papers making for something really interesting.
And with the festive season fast approaching I am busy experimenting with my favourite Lady Pattern Paper papers in colours perfect for Christmas cards.
Step 1
Punch circles out of 3 different patterned papers in 3 different colours using a circle punch to fit your card base.
Step 2
Adhere the circles to the front of your card using adhesive. Trim off any overlapping pieces if need be.
Step 3
Use a stencil and add modelling paste through the stencil onto the circles on the card. Use your palette knife and apply a thin, smooth and even layer.
Let the modelling paste dry and then decorate the card using embellishments, stamped sentiment and ribbon.
Hope you enjoyed this quick and easy textured Christmas card tutorial. Happy card making!!!
