Sweet Summer Scrapbooking Layout – You are my happy!

The Sweet Summer collection is perfect to scrap the photos that we took on our last trip to the beach before some of our grandchildren moved to Australia. It is bittersweet to look at the photos again and remember how happy they always were to play together. With the number of photos that were taken that day it made sense to create a double-page spread.
You are my happy - Sweet Summer Scrapbooking Layout

I started by cutting strips of the Sweet Summer – ‘Vespa Go!’, ‘Ice Cream’ and ‘Candy Stripes’. I adhered the strips to the Lady Pattern Paper Smooth White Cardstock. I then added a block of the super cute ‘Bathing Beauties’ over this.

I stitched around the turquoise block (B-side of ‘Bathing Beauties’) and then fussy cut the flags from the ‘Vespa Go!’ to layer over the strip of paper. I also used the manufacturer’s strip from ‘Bathing Beauties’ and ‘Ice Cream’ as stips below the flags. I fussy cut elements from ‘Vintage Blooms’ and ‘Candy Stripes’ and added them to my layout.

There are so many adorable chipboard elements to choose from! I heat embossed elements from both ‘Happy’ and ‘Splash’ chipboard sets with white embossing powder and embellished my page with the chipboard and the fussy cut elements.
