I really enjoyed using the Sweet Summer range to make a little holiday album. I also have lots of paper left over which I know will make some stunning cards!
I started off by making the blank album, using some hardboard and 250gm smooth white cardstock that I got from Lady Pattern Paper.
I then used this amazing colourful and bright Sweet Summer paper range with the fun fussy cut pictures to decorate the mini-album – which made for a very playful album with the opening suitcases, kite magnet, and insert tags that slip out from the top of the pages. I also made use of the very handy stencils and chipboards just to finish off the project.
I used a lot of heat embossing in this album. I put matching inks on the chipboards and then used a clear glitter embossing powder which then gets “melted” with the heat gun. I also clear embossed some of the little elements in the fussy cutting like the cherry on the ice cream and flowers on the bus to make them pop.
On the last page, I printed a saying onto some Vellum and made a pocket – this way you don’t lose as much of the beautiful paper underneath!
