For this layout I used the Fairytale Times patterned paper combined with Liewe Hexie for a sun superhero layout. Combining the Basic Essentials range of papers with other fun patterned papers to support a theme or colour combination is what Lady Pattern Paper does best. I love how this layout turned out and I think it has a lot to do with this basic range that compliments my other supporting elements perfectly. And that cutie in the photo helps too.
I dressed up the paper a bit for some amazing result and here’s how I achieve the look…
Cut your patterned paper into various widths of strips. Ink the edges and adhere them onto your background cardstock.
Use navy blue, green and yellow dye ink to create a fun effect on the background. Add the wet ink onto the background and immediately blot with some roller towel to give the ink an instant dry and to soften the colours.
Add additional Walnut ink splats onto the coloured inks for added interest.
Assemble your layout using some fun elements and machine sewing.
I’d love to see your interpretation of Superheroes and Fairytales! Get creative, get cracking and share your works…
