I love a good and simplistic layout – it means that anyone can scrapbook right? Yes right! It means that you don’t need a stash full of stuff and copious amounts of expensive goodies. You simply need some photos and a few supplies and good paper.

For this layout I used a beautiful new leaf stamp set combined with my Lady Pattern Paper papers.

Here’s how I created it…

Step 1

Select your stamp and ink that you are going to use. Remember this can be anything you have in your stash or that you have access to.

Step 2

Stamp the leaf image several times on 2 different patterned papers, alternating colours too. Here I used a combination of Moroccan Trellis – Green Chartreuse and Zesty Zebra – Intense Teal.

Step 3

Stamp several leaves on both patterned papers and cut them all out.

Step 4

Create your own background using stencilling and inking.

Arrange the leaves and stems on your layout next to your photograph on your background. Use foam tape to adhere some of the leaves to create dimension.

Add some extra embellishments and stamping as you see fit.

I love the stamped simplicity of the layout and that I got to use a really vintage photograph…just one more memory captured and filed creatively.
