These cards were created as a set to give as a gift to my Mom because she often needs a card to give with a gift or to say thanks. She asked for a pack of blank cards that she could personalise. So I opted for various designs that could be either male or female and with stamped sentiment options that could be paired with whichever card she felt appropriate for the occasion.
Using some of the So Buff range of papers, I started by cutting my paper to 12” x 7” strips and scoring them at 2 6/8” and 7 6/8” and either folding the short piece in or out.
I die cut some lovely doilies, clocks, clouds, hot air balloons and pretty shapes out of the Lady Pattern Paper, white cardstock.
I then inked them with distress inks and chose a paper to use as a base.
Having chosen my base paper either folded with the pattern inside or out, I then added stencil work with distress inks.
I embellished the cards with ribbon and found diecuts and made some matching envelopes to fit each card as they are bigger than your normal C6 and smaller than the standard A5 ones you can purchase in the shop. You can create these either with the Envelope maker or by using your scoring board.
Two of the cards had the busy designs on the inside, so I added a piece of cardstock for my Mom to write on.
