Somewhere, somehow along the way we have lost the art of sending handmade card through the post. With good reason of course since our postal systems seems to be something of the past. But I still like making cards and sending them or at least giving them in person. I found this cute stamp set with all things referencing snail mail and thought it was a good combination with the vibrant range of Lady Pattern Paper.
Step 1
Cut the bird and rose image from the Ooh La Limited – Daughter’s Rose Red Pop paper.
Step 2
Use a pair of good scissors and fussy cut the images.
Step 3
Adhere a piece of Ooh La Limited – Daughter’s Rose Red Pop paper to the front of the card and then adhere the cut out bird to the bottom of the card. Trim the bottom edge of the bird off straight.
Step 4
Stamp the brick image onto the card using VersaFine Sepia. Use a paint brush and paint some of the bricks using the same sepia ink with a bit of water.
Step 5
Add your snail mail stamped image to the front of the card.
Step 6
Cut a card background using the Ooh La Limited – My India Intense Teal paper.
Step 7
Use an anywhere hole punch and punch some circles from the paper design to add interest to the background.
Step 8
Adhere the cut out red rose to the front of the teal paper. Add a stamped image overlapping the rose stem. Add some ink splats.
