When I decided to use the Silver, Black and White paper pack I already had the photos in mind. My daughter in law, Nadia and my grandson Lukas took part in the Colour Run in October 2017 and I have seen some very colourful photos of them.
I first matted my photos on black cardstock and then chose 5 of the papers to layer behind the photo. I cut the papers to size and layered them stapling them together so that I could see where it is going to sit on my white cardstock.
I then marked the space and started to add colour to my background. I used some Prima stamps that look like splats and Distress Oxide Inks. I also added water to the ink and used a paintbrush to make smaller splatter.
When the inks were dry I added my patterned paper layers and the photo. I then stamped the two large black flowers and fussy cut it from the card stock I stamped on.
I added some stitching to my background for added texture. I then heat embossed some chipboard leaves with silver and added the two flowers and the leaves diagonally across from each other.
Finally, I added my title and little silver puffy hearts. I found it needed a bit more black for contrast and stamped tiny black hearts randomly around the page. I finished it off with black Nuvo Crystal Drops.
