Today I am sharing some cards I made using the gorgeous Oh my Word! Retro Holiday sticker sheets. To create my cards I was inspired by the colours on the sticker sheet. I have said this a million times before – pulling colours from patterned papers, sticker sheets and embellishments is the easiest way of getting it right.
These sticker sheets have been designed with the perfect colour combinations and hues and I simple drew inspiration from them to create my cards. This way I can never go wrong.
The only thing I did to make them unique is play around with shades and hues – adding interest and complimenting my design with the correct design principles.
Here’s how I created my cards:
Matt your stickers onto black cardstock. This makes it easier for you to raise them and also makes them stand out against the background.
Adhere a strip of double sided foam tape to the back of your matted sticker.
Use inks inspired by the colours from the sticker sheet to ink various elements.
Die-cut Project Life style cards and elements using your Silhouette machine and colour the elements using the inks to compliment the stickers.
Use staples, ribbon, diamanté and other embellishments to finish off your cards. The focal points of my cards are the stickers raised for dimension. Quick and easy cards using one of my favourite sticker sheets from Lady Pattern Paper.
