I used the red rose paper and cut out the beautiful rose and bird images. I ended up separating them and then used them in different places on my layout.
The red rose peeks from underneath the paper strips that run over it. I added sewing at the bottom of the strips for added texture. The red from the roses picks up on the red in the paper strip.
Separating the birds from the roses offers a lot of options. Even though some of the cut out parts of the birds form an odd shape, this is easily hidden behind the cut out flowers. This is a clever and easy way to hide imperfections and even mistakes.
The script portion of the Daughter’s Rose Red Pop paper makes for a fun element that can be used on its own. I love the imperfect look of the text.
The Intense Teal from the reverse side of Zesty Zebra paper peeks out underneath all the layers of strips and flowers offering a beautiful and surprising element to the page.
