With Mother’s Day just around the corner now is a good time to get those cards and handmade gifts ready to spoil all those special Moms out there. I used the beautiful Ooh La Limited – Daughter’s Rose Red Pop floral paper to create this easy card.
Step 1
Trim the reverse side of Daughter’s Rose paper to fit onto the front of your folded card base. Mine measure 10×14.5cm. Ink the edges and adhere it to the card front.
Step 2
Die-cut a circle flourish element out of technique cardstock. I cut 2 to create a layered effect on my card.
Step 3
Select 3 colours of All Purpose Ink to match your card and paper colours. I chose Burgundy, Cherry Pink and Poppy Red. You will also need a Fantastix tool or a small paint brush.
Step 4
Paint your flourishes to create a blended Ombre effect. I started with Cherry Pink, then added some Poppy Red and finally added some Burgundy. To finish off I added more Cherry Pink where the colours overlapped to blend them together for a nice seamless Ombre effect.
Step 5
Cut the circle part off of one of your circle flourishes. Keep the flourish part for your layering.
Step 6
Punch a 3” circle out of the front side of the paper and adhere it to the front of your card. Adhere the full circle flourish element on top of the circle.
Step 7
Add your second flourish and a tag.
Step 8
Finish off your card with a stamped ‘Mum’ sentiment on top of the tag covering the tea party wording, a beautiful paper flower and some diamante.
What an elegant and beautiful Mother’s Day card this limited collection paper makes!
