I only have one granddaughter and she lives in Australia. I love her to bits and the MOON CHILD scrapbooking collection is perfect to scrap some of the photos I have of her.
I cut a white cardstock an inch smaller all around and matted the cardstock on the ‘Moon Child – Stay Wild’ patterned paper. I wanted to go with blues, greys and golds for this page. A bit of mixed media was done on the background. I mixed natural mica powder with 3D gel and applied it through a sunburst stencil.
I used the B side of ‘Moon Child – Floral’ paper sheet to matt the photo. I cut apart the 6×6 blocks on the B side of ‘Moon Child – Crescent Moon’ paper and used the grey and blue as layers behind the photo. I also added a doily from my stash. To pick up on the frame around the page I used the ‘Moon Child – Stay Wild’ to cut a banner for the side of the photo. From the ‘Moon Child – Polygons’ fussy cut sheet, I selected the leaves and floral as well as the gold stars and the two tags.
I heat embossed all the chipboard elements in gold. I used the “Shine Bright” chipboard title directly on the negative space of the photo. The scattered stars chipboard border was placed below the photo and the chipboard stars and fussy cut stars were scattered above the photo. From the ‘Moon Child – Stay Wild’ B side I cut apart the sentiment ‘Leave a little sparkle wherever you go’ and used as journaling. I stamped sentiment on the one tab fussy cut element and the date on the other. I finished the page by applying a few Nuvo Enamel drops in bright gold around the page.
