What do you do with all those beautiful barcode strips that you cut off of your Lady Pattern Paper papers? I keep them all together in a folder ready to be used at any time. And what better time than to pull them out when you are making a quick card.
For this card I grabbed my barcode strips from the Lucy Lace – Egyptian Gold [Limited Edition] and Sweetheart – Egyptian Gold [Limited Edition] papers.
I used a piece of Marbel-icious – So Buff patterned paper, combined with a piece of mixed media embossed paper with loads of colour added to it.
The barcode strips was the perfect finishing touch to create a bridge between the beautiful patterned paper and the heavy mixed media piece of paper. The strips create a soft bridge between the patterns and textures but also offer a home for the embellishments and focal point to sit on.
The sewing added with my sewing machine adds a lovely texture to the edges of the strips which I love.
A few soft elements like the paper flower and diamantes add a nice finishing touch to this funky and modern mixed media card.
