When I saw this collection, I immediately knew I wanted to use this photo taken over 10 years ago of friends of ours’ little boy while we were on holiday. He was just the cutest little “dude”. A real little MONSTER of a cute dude, but this photo was just perfect for the papers!
I love this title – I inked it with Brilliance Red Rocket ink and then covered it with Tsukineko Sparkle Embossing Powder which I melted using my heat tool. When I was done, I simply added some shadows with my finger dauber and some Mediterranean Blue Brilliance ink, which I also used to do my stencil work with.
I have fallen in love with stencilling onto my large photos – it really looks like it is part of the photo. I also used the star stencil to make my own red pattern paper. I dabbed some VersaMark Watermark Ink through the stencil onto white cardstock. I covered it with the sparkle embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. When it had cooled off, I inked over it all with the Rocket Red Brilliance Ink and wiped the excess off, which revealed the gorgeous stars! I cut a couple of strips and used them between the patterned papers.
I also decided to add some sparkle to the star patterned paper, so I inked a couple of strips using my VersaMark Watermark Pad and simply covered it with sparkle embossing powder which I once again melted using my heat tool and added them between the layers of FABULOUS papers to add some interest to my layout.
I wanted to use the frame from the cut-out sheet with wording from another piece of the cut-out sheet, so I simply cut the frame out, fussy cut the BIG trouble in a little package quote and added it to the back of the raised frame.
