I used the Basic Essentials Mermaid Tails – Intense Teal to mat the card from the Good Times & Tan Lines – Good Vibes paper and the two photos.
I then cut a circle from the Good Times & Tan Lines – One in a Melon (using the confetti side) and did some hand stitching around my circle to add some texture.
I then added another layer with the Basic Essentials Mermaid Tails – Green Chartreuse and another layer with the Good Times & Tan Lines – Copacabana (I used the side with the pink kites).
I then wanted to add more pink to layout and a strip of the Basic Essentials Dreamy Dots – Pink Mary (stripes side) was just what was needed between the teal and the green layer.
I added thin strips of the Basic Essentials Mermaid Tails – Green Chartreuse and the Basic Essentials Dreamy Dots – Pink Mary to balance the bottom of the page.
With such pretty papers on show embellishing were kept simple. I added a chipboard frame to highlight the main photo en added two chipboard shells to draw the eye around the page. Lastly, a few enamel dots were added. I broke the white of the cardstock by using a sunburst stencil that radiates from the circle.
Life is sweeter in flip flops and even sweeter when scrapping!
