I used the papers and fussy cuts to create a fun sampler board, somewhere where I could try out a combination of colours and patterns and textures without any rules.
The board started off with a sheet of cardboard from packaging covered in two of the new patterned papers adhere to it using gel medium. Once the gel medium was dry I tried a new ink and texture paste combination applied through a stencil. I love the effect the ink gave the paste but the application of this particular paste is not that great, leaving lots of bleed under the stencil because of its thin consistency. That didn’t bother me and I quite like the imperfect effect.
On top of the dry texture paste stencilling I had some fun using the fussy cuts combined with some of the new hello CARDS flowers – they are so cute. I finished off the sampler board with embellishments.
This is one of those fun projects playing, experimenting and just having fun with bright and beautiful colours and papers.
