Sometimes and nowadays the philosophy of less is more does seem to apply to my crafting. When the photos tell the real story, they become the star and rightly so, only to be supported by all the wonderful papers and embellishments we find ourselves surrounded by.
This layout came to fruition by accident. I finished the layout a while ago when the first of the Kraft papers and cardstock was launched by Lady Pattern Paper. But then it was filed and somehow the feeling that something is missing kept lingering, that is until the launch of the second set of Kraft papers. And the light-bulb moment…
It needed that perfect pink patterned paper and it was called THAT Pink Sweetheart. So I simply cut the pink Chevron design and added it to the bottom of my layout with the barcode strip layered on top. It was the perfect combination – feminine and pretty!
I matted my photo onto the pink stripe paper and then a second time onto a second patterned paper.
The pink chipboard title wording was coloured using a vintage pink ink and then glaze with dimensional glaze. A light sprinkle of pink glitter adds a beautiful shimmer to the otherwise plain inked wording.
I simply love how the pink Kraft paper and pink ink marry with each other – it really is perfectly matched and it has that distinct vintage classic feel that I love so much.
