This week I was inspired by chevrons and used some of my favourite Lady Pattern Paper from the Kraft Essentials range to create this gorgeous single page layout. The neutral background was the perfect base for some pretty florals, old embellishments and a gorgeous girl – what more does a scrapper want?
Step 1
Cut random strips of Kraft Essentials paper from the Opaque White Script and Opaque White Lucy Lace papers. Of course you will have the back to use as well as an added bonus.
Step 2
Cut the first strip at an angle and then use this piece as a template to cut all the other strips. I drew a pencil line on mine to determine the angle as I wanted it on my page.
Step 3
Start adhere the top pieces to meet the halfway mark on your background cardstock.
Step 4
Now adhere the bottom pieces to meet the top pieces.
- I did not measure but just freehand cut and glued my strips down – don’t sweat the small stuff.
- Let the top strips/pieces run wider than the bottom ones for a fun look.
- Combine and layer the back and front of your kraft papers for a slight variation – did you know that the back and front as slightly different? How cool!
- Add sewing for a fun texture where the strips join and meet each other. Select specific joins to sew or sew them all.
This is a fun Kraft Essentials layout that can be changed easily by simply swapping out the strips with Basic Essentials, Basically Textured or any of the other Lady Pattern Paper papers available. But above all have fun!
