Wild About You Kraft Essentials by Lynette

Four years ago Wynand and Nadia (my son and daughter-in-law) had an extraordinary experience while visiting a game reserve. They received a hug from Gambit the giraffe. I have wanted to scrap these photos for a while now and wanted to give it an “African Wild” feel. I decided to use the beautiful Lady Pattern Kraft Essentials Lucy Lace Opaque White.

To add texture I decided to cut a piece of corrugated cardboard to back my page on. I then tore some sections from the Lucy Lace paper and added some Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to the exposed corrugated parts.

I then matted my photos on white cardstock and the B side of Macho Camo Chocolate Chilli. I build some layers with Liewe Hexie Green Chartreuse, Moroccan Trellis So Buff, the hello Cards Mellow Yellow and Kraft Essentials Oh Unicorn Metallic Copper (B side).

I cut two banners to bring vertical interest from Sassy Stars Green Chartreuse and another of the hello Cards Mellow Yellow.

After building the layers and placing the photos I placed my LONG title and then added some beads and glass glitter below the photos for extra interest. I kept the rest of my embellishments as natural as possible and finished the layout off by adding Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow and Apple Green.

Telling the story behind the photos are always very important to me so the journaling was added to complete the page.
