With my recent travels through the country teaching and a visit to a special friends’ house, I was inspired by a beautiful quilt she had. Inspiration really is everywhere. So when I got home I just had to create a quilted card using the beautiful new Kraft Essentials from Lady Pattern Paper.
I simply cut paper blocks from the paper, inked the edges and constructed a base card using the paper blocks.
Step 1
Cut 4cm wide strips of paper using a selection of Kraft papers.
Step 2
Cut the strips into squares of 4x4cm square.
Step 3
Ink the edges of the blocks. Adhere the blocks to a base cardstock. Use a selection of coloured paint and add ink splats to the base of the card.
To decorate the card, add stamped hearts, diamante, title element and embossed stars.
To add a quilting look, use a sewing machine and sew around the edges.
A quick and easy card that you can even make using your paper scraps. Alternatively you can also add sewing around each of the paper blocks to add that true sewing look to your handmade quilted Kraft card.
Look out for the beautiful Kraft Essentials paper pack from your local scrapbook store to create your own masterpieces.
