When was the last time you played with embossing folders and your Cuttlebug? Yeah I know – I just don’t seem to do it enough, and each time I do it I remember how much I love it! So this week’s project I wanted to show how beautiful the embossing looks on the Lady Pattern Paper range.
So I created this quick card using a few strips of Lady Pattern Paper and some embossing.
Step 1
Select 3 of your favourite Lady Pattern Papers and trim them to different widths. My strips measure from left to right 4cm, 1.5cm and 4.5cm. Adhere the strips of panel to a base panel.
Step 2
Select an embossing folder with the design you want to use. Ink the top part of the embossing folder using a dye ink pad.
⇒ TIP: the ink will only catch onto the raised areas and will transfer onto the paper when embossed.
Step 3
Position the strip panel inside the embossing folder and then emboss it by putting it through the Cuttlebug. The ink transfers to the paper with the embossed pattern and creates a beautiful effect.
I love how the embossing stands out on the Lady Pattern Paper designs – it creates a beautiful unified look on the embossed background although I used 3 different designs and colours of paper.
