The new range of colours and funky patterns in the new Basically Textured range from Lady Pattern Paper is simply gorgeous. Not only are they perfect for those boisterous boy layouts but work equally well for girly girls with a strong and fierce personality.
I wanted to capture my niece’s strong personality and fierce nature and this range was perfect for a recently taken gorgeous photo of her.
I used a large camo piece on the right-hand side of my layout at an angle because I love the pattern so much. The large photo towards the left of the layout is supported by the patterned paper strips of Basically Textured (Knitty Gritty – Chocolate Chilli), Basically Textured (Macho Camo – Chocolate Chilli) barbed wire strip and Ooh La Limited (Brush, Marx & Co – Hearts) on the left edge.
I used the circle cut-out designs from Ooh La Limited (Brush, Marx & Co – Bounce) grouped together with some buttons in the bottom left-hand corner of the layout to create a cluster helping with the balance and overall design of the layout.
A second cluster at the top of the open space is filled with a barcode strip, some chipboard elements and paper circle.
The orange makes for a beautiful accent colour with the shades of chocolate chilli.
A funky stamped giraffe adds a fun and quirky element to this layout and compliments the patterned paper camo design as well as the colours used on the layout.
I love how the range of strong boy themed paper is so versatile that it can work for girls too – not to mention holidays, outdoors and family memories. Happy scrapping!
