I was absolutely smitten with this collection. Initially, I wanted to make scrapbook layouts…but have you noticed how perfect this collection is to make AWESOME cards for the boy/teenager in your life? That was it for me.
I used the Lady Pattern Paper “hello CARDS” A6 Blank cards as a basis to build my cards. I first cut up the Awesome – Old School sentiment and cards and then fussy cut the entire sheet of elements from the Awesome – Let’s Play. I then cut all the patterned paper in blocks slightly smaller than the card bases, and for a second layer, I cut blocks even smaller.
Then the fun started. I stitched a zig-zag stitch with my sewing machine around all the blocks and then started playing. Adding sentiments and journal blocks to the cards. I also heat embossed some of the chipboard elements to add extra dimension. For added dimension, I used loads of foam dots behind my elements. I made 8 cards, but I still have loads of ideas to make more.
