A while ago I got these cool alterable drinking cups. You can decorate them and alter them by adding patterned papers to the inside of the cup to make something really special and unique. And the bonus, as your mood changes so too can your cup change at the simple cut of a piece of patterned paper.
I used my scraps of Lady Patterned Paper this week and combined one new design with one of the previous designs to alter my cup to a fun but sophisticated look for this month.
Here’s how I did it…
Step 1
Trace the inner paper piece that wraps around the inside of the cup. I traced it twice on two different patterned papers and two colours to layer them on top of each other.
Step 2
Trim the one inner smaller than the outer part and sew them together. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can add fake sewing using a pen or just adhere them together without the sewing.
Step 3
Roll the inner up and adhere the edges together using double sided tape.
Step 4
Decorate the outside of the cup using a vinyl sticker on the outside. Insert the paper inner and then the plastic actual cup part and screw them together to complete the cup.
And there you have a decorated custom altered drinking cup using a few pieces of your favourite patterned papers and a few embellishments.
