So often we forget to use the supplies and tools we already have in our stash. Just as easily as we forget to enjoy life and those last precious moments of summer we are experiencing here in the southern half. So today I created a punched shaped card using some of my stash that has been left at the bottom of a drawer for way too long.
I created a fun ice-cream shaped card using only my range of Lady Pattern Paper papers and my punches. Here’s how I create my card:
Step 1
Punch a 3” circle out of Kraft Essentials dot paper (it’s the back of the Oh Unicorn! design). Use a bone-folder and ruler and fold the circle into 3 parts to create the shape of an ice-cream cone. Use your Tombow adhesive to adhere the folded pieces to the base.
Step 2
Use a square scalloped edge punch and punch 3 squares out of various Lady Pattern Paper papers.
Step 3
Use a 2” circle punch and punch the top edge of the scalloped squares so that they create the shape of ice-cream.
Step 4
Ink the edges of the punched shapes using the same colour ink as the paper for a fun effect.
Step 5
Adhere the punched shapes together using Tombow adhesive and then adhere to the base.
Create your card background using ink and a stencil. Adhere the ice cream to the card front using foam tape for added dimension.
Finish off the card with a sticker sentiment, brad and some coloured diamonds.
Lastly add some fun coloured ink splats to the bottom of the card.
And there you have a gorgeous summertime inspired punched shape card – let’s celebrate the last few sunny days before those chilly autumn days arrive.
